Fantastic! I love it when people make big $$ in options. Btw, what time of the day did you make your purchase, and are those the 540 strikes?
 
I love options i wish i had 10 of the 540's. But if you do the math you'll see that can't be the case as they traded at $12 and that would mean i put $12 k in it. I bought right near the end of day and you can figure out the strike i bought.It was for shits and giggles and i've probably lost 20k doing the same thing in the past 2 years on the same type bet so no big deal.As i said i'm a chump compared to many of the traders in my office were a good day is 6 fig's for the top 5 traders.

how much is the volatility going to collapse and have you priced this in.? GOOG has this cycle where they report before expiry. Congrats on the trade, but you should be able to price out where this will be based on the open, you will know the exact vol to use when GOOG opens. Here is a link to an options calc, you may know all this already, it may help a lurker.:)

Ok, you must have purchased the 570's then. So when Google opens at 590 tomorrow, you'll be making a cool 18k. While it's chump change relatively speaking, the % return on them is anything but. That's a nice outside shot! Congrats.

The collapse in vola is going to be the $2 he paid for them, as they will be way deep in the money by the open.
