Nice trade!
Classic case of buying when teh amateurs are waiting for 'the big drop' :D lol

You consider it "amateur" to wait for "the big drop" before buying (which is a professional "buy low" strategy), yet you bought a high last month and averaged down during an 80-point drop, which does not seem all that professional.

I assume he meant the amatures are shorting/expecting the big drop (which they've been calling for months and months)
Either way, he's made about 300 live calls, all long (whilst if im honest, ive been expecting a drop) so he gets my respect.
Small 'ariwaves' side account has been funded for fun.

That is one more advantage of a CFD account, you can have as many positions (same instrument) in all directions as you want in one account. So one account is sufficient to play all the good calls by different posters in this journal...

Or so I heard... :)

P.S.: I didn't post it because it was so obvious, but nice 2nd gap close from the Sunday evening upgap...

Everyone here is targeting 1-10 points on day trades (except ESDreamer), so I don't think The Big Drop or The Big Bounce really means much, but damn I was pissed to be playing downside breaks over and over again in the weeks leading into the "crash" and on May 6th there I was waiting like a dumb blonde for a long entry signal while it was a glaring short from the get-go...

Good luck on your trade!

P.S. How come everyone here gets kudos for all their longs and I call a short trade last week whose target, called an hour before the market even opens, turns out to be 1 tick from the day's low and no one says a single nice thing to me? :p

You didn't get my thank you note?

I don't suppose those people squeezing the shorts could actually be sitting on big discretionary sell orders for internal and/or external clients?

I think the smart money that's been buying in from the triple bottom support level a while back is sitting on some very nice profit, and have no intention of selling until the "late-to-the-party" buyers (who have to look good now) drive price to a real nice sell-into-strength level.

Yes, I want to Sell the Top for the Big Drop!

Pekelo: Curtsy from this dumb blonde
