everything defies logic, trade like a detective grilling a criminal, everything is a lie,ya just have to wait for them to slip up

Quote from startraitor:

Longs are about to bite it above the 200 day.
I would first make sure you have enough lube in stock. Also don't forget to get a rectal exam. :D

I almost never take last hour trades because in the past I've churned profits that way. Although I've been trading CL exclusively, today I had a very strong urge to long ES @ 1105.00 on the 3 p.m. pullback pivot because the lower high looked like a bear trap on a strong trend day. I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger though because it was late day and had already run "too high". When price broke back up through the lower high, I decided to sim trade the setup mainly because I was bored and wanted to see how well I would manage a late day long at the top of a strong trend.

Went long @ 1107.50 with a stop @ 1105.00. When the 3:20pm bar closed I moved my stop to 1107.00 (1 tick below that bar's low).

I placed two targets, one @ 1109.50 and one @ 1111.25.

Then I made the fatal error. When the 3:25pm bar closed I moved my stop to break even. Moving the stop took me out to the tick of the 3:30pm bar's low and went on through both my targets.

Trade direction: A+

Trade management: F
