i'll teach you newbs something.

no need to thank me.

the slow grind is an illusion.

market moved down 27 ES points from 10:45

Schiz has returned to ES from a recent stint in CL. It took CL just 45 minutes to provide the same $1350 per car profit that took ES 5 hours to provide by way of the initial RTH short signal through the low.

Sorry, but if that ain't painfully slow for a day trader, I don't know what is :p

Good thing you don't use your real name. Would you really like to be known as the guy that thinks a 27 point ES move is too slow, not to mention you can trade the waves for even more action?

I didn't think so.

ES seems a little bit more forgiving to me, for example, I traded badly on Friday, and only lost $ 12.00 in futures and made over $ 200 in options.

If I trade CL badly, I could lose $ 400 - $ 800 or more.

Also, looking at CL, many moves seem to be random to me where I can sometimes get long or short on ES and only take a couple ticks heat.

No argument there. I recommend never placing a stop on CL just outside a level such as a pivot high/low, or a key bar's high/low. I always place my stops at, or 1 tick inside, the key price. I had a stop loss hit on CL last week 1 tick inside a twice-tested resistance for exactly what I expected, knowing that the 3rd test is usually the charm. Soon as the R was through it jumped over 20 ticks. If my stop was 1 tick outside the level, my loss would've doubled just like that.

I've never had anything like that happen with ES.
