i had a 20% equity draw down beginning of the month, mostly due to trading naked GS options, the criminal probe drop around 160 was liked getting shanked at San Quentin.
was short ES going in crash may 6th at 1135 but closed out for "only" 10 points, data feed was on/off..watched it bottom in horror and tried to sell levered up a double dip around 2:50pm and obviously it rallied hard and the volatility wiped away my earlier profits.
market has just kicked my ass, between E7 and QM, i am emotionally traumatized by the action.. for the past 3 weeks i feel like Ray Charles at the nutcracker ballet.
my life right now is in bleak, no job, no savings, broken trading account, no prospects.. much anger from the dark side.. i have no assets, no car.. sucks man. my most prized possession is 175$ LV wallet.
I am sorry to hear that, people really underestimate execution risk. One of the reasons a badge on the CME CBOE etc cost so much is that you can still execute with other humans. This is worth a lot when the vix is 40+. I could not get my platform up and missed the first part of the open. Many traders blew out in 87 not because they are lousy traders but because of execution issues. execution risk can kill you but the computers have made some aspects more efficient. I would reread market wizards, always makes me feel better knowing even the great ones get their asses handed to them. Good luck, try to move forward whatever that is for you.
