petty, I'm a bit confused by your rationale here. Weren't you talking about a 50-pt run off the 30-min TL low around 74? (in which case you would be still holding a long).

By the way, we just had a 20 points bounce/rally from the dragon predicted bottom at 1071, ES. So for all practical purposes the pattern has played out....

No, I use those special TL's as guides [they are not trading signals] and I wait and see if they hold for a glimpse at the larger picture. But they are launch pads up or down or vice versa if they are being drawn off of high points.

I still trade my signals around them.

The benefit being if I "know" price "most likely" is going to do xyz and then my signals fire off at different levels I can easily sculpt my trades. But I do not rely on these TL's as anything that is needed to make money on the ES. They are a bonus.

Petty, I want to thank you for taking time to post here. I'm finding it a very informative addition to the thread, even though I've been trading CL instead of ES for the past couple weeks (CL it appeals to my ADD personality).

To answer your question above, besides ES and CL, I'm a very heavy POT smoker.
