jack's brilliant, despite the naysayers on et,but your right sal, hard to follow due to all the 3 letter abbreviations

I'm glad to see that others believe this. I thought I was in some kind of loony camp for thinking Jack Hershey has provided some incredible keys to the trading kingdom here on ET, both technically and psychologically.

Realize that I've read Alan Farley and Al Brooks, so I'm used to deciphering the the extremely arcane.

Well, having NEVER traded this kind of futures action in a single day before, I must say it gives scalping a whole new meaning. I "scalped" two 15-pt moves. I really was targeting 5 pts but was not about to argue with momentum and I even left 12 pts on the table first trade!

For those who use IB, are you experiencing any freeze? Mine keeps locking up and I need to restart the damn thing.

My IB was in and out of sync with my poweretrade this morning, so I took a break rather than trade, especially after yesterday's freeze up. When I came back everything seemed fine.

Why choose IB brokerage?

Why choose IB brokerage?

Because over the past year I've had IB it's been very easy and reliable for trading futures and inexpensive for day trading small positions on stocks.

Also I'm subject to intertia. Once I get in the groove of using a tool regularly, it takes a lot to get me to change.

Also, I really wasn't sure which platform was off kilter, IB or pet.

quick comment the spike down yesterday will throw off a lot of systems traders, the trades on cme all stood so the fat finger theory appears to
bunk for the most part. I have never seen a cascade like that since 2007-2008. Lots of readjusting for black boxes. The question really is will we
retest 1050 on spx, remember those are pit traded contracts so those are real prices.

where in the hell are dem Tday boyz or what ever you call them....

surely there has got to be some sort of snap back rally.

Yesterday was a T-DAY, but they didn't do much. If I were you, I would lighten up on my position. I would like to trade a regular 8 car/trade, but now I'm only doing one because of what I'm seeing. I see the TF move 5pts in less than 2 minutes today....that 10 ES PTS!!

Use stops. Money management is key in this crazy markets

i think ppt, bernanke and goldie, their broker, got a divorce on apr16 when the sec filed charges,i think ben said we tried ,(picture dutch boy with finger in dike)now let's see if it holds

Seems like the days of the 4-6 tick stops I was used to are gone. I'm only trading 2 lots today. My last trade was a scalp in that narrow range and I still pulled off 6 pts! I remember when a 6 pt move took forever and might well have been close to the day's range
