The longer term top does not come from just a touch of 1200.

IF we are going to see a longer term top, then a much bigger reversal pattern, say, on 4 hours bar, will develop itself. The hard part is to jump in with the proper MM if you decided to position trade a move like that.

I agree that we won't reverse from just touching 1200, but won't a longer-term top come from a consolidation period?

So can't we touch 1200, go down a bit (1130-1150 ish) then come back up, then fall?

Usually a top or bottom will come on a reversal day from a panic spike or dip such as when we hit 1576 or 666.
