Closing at the HOD this high and strong is a bullish display. However, I believe we are topping out here, but I'm not sure I'll be shorting into this like this.

Anyways, It'll mke for a great counter trend play if it works out well tomorrow.

why the confusion about trends????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????...... today was teachable day...

the reason most cannot learn this is they have too much info.in their noodle and on their screens..they bias their minds and anticipate the market.....

multiple markets focus while we trade only one is like watching basketball game to learn cricket......cash, dax, es, ym, dow jones, nasdaq, squawkbox, and other junk is junk for me as i watch for signal to appear on nq only... trade es then watch es is for me....only

buy low sell high with trend......this is how the real pro makes his/her money........my mentor had 22 yrs. trading eminis, commodities.....chicago trader...took me 8 years to realize her six words say it all........slow learner

seriously new traders and weak older ones.....find a system that works before you throw money at it, seeing instantly the low hanging fruit so easy that u think only u have ever seen ..everybody and his family has seen the patterns, rounding turns, head and shoulders, cups an dhandles, candles, s/r volume..news yada yada yada....5 yrs later u might begin to get ur arms around it.....if u work ur butt off for it.......figger out that u need to stay out of it finally...let the chart /system tell u what to do since why it is moving is of no relevance........

Codliver,

It is easier said than done.

In trading, there is no such thing as one trend, there are trends within trends making trend determination much more complex than what you are stipulating.

And that's just scratching the surface.

Traders love to state, "the trend is your friend", funny enough they never care to say which :D

No Heat

What's more funnier is that they never say it while it's trending. It's all after the damn fact. Yada, yada, yada.

So cod lover, what sez you about tomorrow's trend? Don't be shy now.

the reason most fail is they do not accept the trend which is what is happening before their eyes......this is so elementary guys i really must say do not risk ur money until u know what the trend is and on any time frame.....from 1 min to 1 hr.......as far as tomorrow i could not care less about tomorrow until market open at 8:30 cst for me ...i begin to wait for one signal when market awakes.......overnight stuff is foolish trading

they have been releasing negative press lately so i'm betting down tommorrow with fed meeting

Does it not concern you that we printed a new 52 week closing high today ?

Odds are we grind up before announcement.
Check the prior history for past year.

That rally it did in the afternoon only happens during
1) start of bull trends or
2) end of bull trends.
3) Take your pick where we are at the trend :)

I'd call that a short squeeze.
We are still under fridays high. ES

4) I would not be buyin this rally
5) looking to short oil stocks though
