Normal ? 4 tick range in 90 minutes ? That's only possible if you have some cooperating parties...That has nothing to do with a "market" !

No. Some(parties) willingly creating a bullshit "congestion" area ! Has nothing to do with "buying" ! If you place 5000 lot buy order at 1129.25 and 5000 sell orders at 1129.50 and you play "ping pong" with your own money / portfolio = nothing happens. You just create "volume"...

It's a test.

To see if the net outflow of money from US equities can be stopped by the artificial drift up from last year.

Should that fail, a push to below 1000 will be engineered as a pullback to lure buyers in for "long term investment" and "value play". =)
