Sure, 800 lb gorilla needs to get even on all his long positions that started from 1200 a while back. Once that is tagged, the gorilla sits back and watches market fall and his short positions rake in the money. Rinse, repeat. First target from 1200, is 1104.

Seems to me that 800 pounder would then be long as hell from 1104 to 1200 as opposed to your statement (breaking even on his longs).
