What the hell is the reason for tonite's rally? Does it even require a reason these days?

Aside from market manipulation? Managers who've been short or less than fully invested are buying as they need to show that even though they may have underperformed markets, they still have stocks that were amongst the market's favorites. Window dressing from now till the end of the year for them. This is while the big boys who've been riding this wave up are quietly starting to sell.

Something not to forget is never underestimate the power of the Fed.
