Quote from Decel:

At this point I'm willing to believe that China could default and we still wouldn't hit the 1050s.
It sure looks that way. The terrorists could drop a nuke on US soil today and I bet the damn stock market would go up in anticipation of lesser mouth being better for the world economy. Now hand me that barf bag!

Quote from rock34748:

I could say "wow what could have been, if I stayed in and sold now!!" But I know I don't have the nerve [or capital] for it and would have folded in the low 1740's. Stopped, and not as upset as I would have been last yr.; but certainly not happy either.
Don't feel too bad. I got chopped up twice last night near the low. By then I was both too tired and too pissed off to make another leap of faith. But, man, am I an idiot!

Quote from Eko_Trader:

They will make the shorts cover (with the exception of Ammo...of course)

LMAO! Ammo has vision and patience. I think he told me, "Don't try this at home."

:D

Quote from NoDoji:

I take it you use 30 pt stops...

bigger than that in this instance! (ES swinging). I would have added further if i needed to.
Think 'Ammo' but with longs rather than shorts :)

Didn't you like the exit at 97? 8 point drop since. limit in to buy again at 84...

Yes, I've been admiring how you and Ammo scale into longs and shorts in the same week, both make money. You can't pick tops and bottoms (ok, sometimes you can), but one thing's for sure, price goes up and price comes down!

As for that exit @ 97, I had my finger on the sell trigger @ 96.75 for what seemed like an eternity (probably about 38.52 seconds) and said "Nah, I'm done for the day." Aaarghh.

Quote from ASusilovic:

Daily ES since Sep 2007 until Nov 2009 :

Here's the monthly. Where we sit now does not give me confidence.

On another note, the 666 bottom and subsequent drive up shouldn't have occurred with such disbelief considering the similar run up after the .com implosion. This latest drop of nearly 1000 pts may not have been as orderly as the preceeding one, but a drive back up to the 1500s shouldn't surprise anybody.
