Quote from saliva:

Well, I would think everyone knows by now that this market is rigged. You have to be a born-again idiot to think otherwise.

Be that as it may, inflation by itself is rather benign for the stock market since it tends to also inflate company earnings. Only time it becomes lethal is when it's tied to the Fed's decision to raise the interest rate. But, as you may already know, Bernanke has no clue when he will jack up the rates. But if history is of any value, you can be sure that such a measure will come much too late.

Again, correct. Hoover and Roosevelt's mistakes repeated by the current administration, combined with the helicopter's printing presses running at unprecedented levels, are creating an inflationary depression.

Most of the market turns happen due to technicals. When the technicals are no longer valid, that's when you get breakouts.

I'm not sure why traders spend time rationalizing whats irrational.

Ignore the news, it will do you and your trading a lot of good.

I concur that, as a trader, watching the news has little benefit. Some traders actually are glued to the news every waking moment, though. However, as a citizen, keeping track of current events, happily without the media, is required to know which direction the rest of your life and community is going, outside of trading.

Quote from ASusilovic:

I like fake 1000 bid lot orders in the overnight session....so easy to sell into...:D :D :D

Can you be a bit more precise as to when this actually happened most recently? :)

Thanks.

it's been "orderly" = "manipulated." Many stops blown in the forex and forex futures world overnight. Too much further direction on the holiday week may be too obvious. But as usual, this illustrates; no clue.

Markets have been manipulated for the longest time. It has just become more blatant. Trade long enough and you see it. The way the present administration is doing it is really something else though.....as Obama likes to say..."unprecedented". Unprecedented manipulation.
