Hit offer; waking up seeing crap U$D; out of add at 1098.75; coffee; breathing room; rethinking plan.
edit: ok; still short smaller size for this swing 1111.5 stop
add back on 1102.5 same stop for now

Thanks for the compliment gkramer and flatron. I'm not actually trying to find the HOD consistently though, gkramer. I'm just looking for breakout trades to setup, in the direction of the trend, which go for 3pts or more in my favor.

I like to lock in my gains, so I will appear to close to early when the market runs, and I will appear to close at a good time when the market turns, but I'm just consistently doing the same thing.

It's a slightly different approach than the one that B1S2 just expoused (in German) on the Journal. He is correct for the timeframe he is trading, the money he has at risk, and the method which yields the greast growth in capital in relation to the same capital that he has at risk. If I can figure-out how to apply that concept as well to my trading on an intra-day level, I will.

JSSPMK was using a method where he would lock in his gains and leave a runner, and that technique yields a smoother equity curve substantially greater gains when measured on a monthly basis, so maybe I will look further into it in the futre.

Good trading

I agree w/ your exit strategy. I, too, look for 2-3 pts when scalping provided the market dictates, then look for the next setup. I hate to quote Cramer, but "bulls and bears make money, pigs get slaughtered."
