I pulled an ammo overnight, Mandle was correct, and got the end I was looking for although not all that comfortable with it. My broker even messaged me asking if I knew what I was doing going into fed. Walked away and came back to cover in the mid 40s. I did view yesterday's action as bullish but did not expect 1060 to be breached, just shorted to early and turned it into a position as Mandle guessed. Glad I stuck with my gut, but I will stick with the charts next time.

Quote from MandelbrotSet:

From a daytrader's perspective, tomorrow will take care of itself.

Today's setup was extremely bullish from last night. ASusilovic, Nexen and myself saw it clearly, and startraitor either didn't trade his talk, or is currently underwater and has turned his daytrade into a position trade.

Determine the fractal you're trading on, and then make decisions which are consistent within that timeframe.
I guess you never got to my own post stating that I was feeling rather bullish for today, which I hope would not be mistakenly taken for sacrilege in the permabear camp. BTW, you're greatly mistaken if you think daytraders can trade successfully without paying heed to the longer term.

Quote from saliva:

addict, this might sound like a sacrilege considering that I'm a hardcore permabear, but it looks damn bullish for tomorrow. I advise that you proceed with caution.

Quote from ammo:

fot those of u sitting back and taking potshots at posted trades without posting any of your own, your about as useful to ET as a plunger without a handle, u may be a plunger without a handle
Quote from MandelbrotSet:

for those of u taking trades without posting a stop, and pretending that you have an unlimited account which allows you to post trade after trade after trade, with no accountability (or accounting) of the trade(s), you're about as useful to ET as a backed-up toilet, which, once you've done using it, is absolutely of no use to anyone else.
Can we just have Mr. Dragon post his trades?

No I didn't. :D

But I wasn't referring to whether today would be bullish or not with my post, I was making the statement that the trader has to know what fractal he/she is trading on, and trade accordingly.

And that just begs the question of exactly who/how/why does one define "longer term"?

Of course, in reality we all know that is an individual decision to be made, according to the trade/risk management of the individudal trader ... right? :)

As you can see from the posts on this journal from this week alone (not to mention all of the other weeks and months past gone), "longer term" means many different things to many different people ... :D

Who is "Mr. Dragon"?

I have no idea, as I have never used that alias in the past, and to my recollection, neither has ammo. :)

But neither one of us are currently posting trades on the ES Journal as per the rules of Buy1Sell2. :p

So exactly who are you referring to saliva? LOL :D

P.S. As ET-trollbuster has stated previously "I'll post trades on this Journal when people start posting trades according to Buy1Sell2's original rules" ... and I would be very, very happy to do so.

Quote from Lawrence Chan:

So we are now officially stuck at this area for 3 days.

What's next - up or down? =)

ImPO it is more likely to go up, a quick glance on 240 suggests that price is basing building an IH&S, MACD is rising. What's important is that the Daily trend is still up as price bounced of the lower channel's TL.

But if it fails, then we go down :)

Take a look at eurjpy over the last 30 minutes. trading above pivot on esz09. Possible reversal after the jobs report but I am bullish here. Good trading.
