Made the stupid mistake of adding to my short from 86.5 at 88.5. Got stopped out at 90.5. I was up before that :(
3 wins/3 losses but my loser addition cost me my winnings.

I really need to stop trying to 'call' the top with my shorts.
Not to worry. I bet Dick Bove is feeling pretty crappy himself today for agitating the market yesterday. It turned out to be much ado about nothing. :D

Anyway, my otherwise worthless suggestion is that you shouldn't add to your losers.

u shouldnt avg if scalping,go back and read jsspmk's scalps ,he could get stopped out all day for small losses and catch a nice winner and end positive on the day, stops take a lot of discipline

I know, I haven't done it for over a month or two (when I learned my first lesson) but today seemed like it would make a turn back down at anytime. I was wrong and paid for it.

I watched the ES for 7 months sim trading before going live and I swear it never moved like it has in the last 3 months or so. It seems to make 1-3 LARGE, quick moves and if you miss them, you've missed the majority of money to be made. Maybe I just didn't notice it when I was sim trading. A lot seems to have changed since I sim traded, mainly the color of my daily PnL(keeps showing red).

Filled

Stop 90.75
Out 88.50

The tally for today's trade on these 1-lot flippers: -2.75.
Needless to say, I underestimated the force of the afternoon rally in the hopes of another repeat of yesterday's selloff.

You might find this laughable, but I've been trading for nearly 20 years and I've never seen anything remotely similar to what we witnessed in the past 6 months. I don't say this lightly because I also lost a lot of money as a result of my idiotic stubborness.

You and me both, brother. I've been trying to retool my models based on the behavior since March...few of my proven techniques have been working.

I am analysing market patterns and indicators probably more deep than majority and I am simple not able find in past setups those are repeating last months. The only logical explanation seems to me that there are the leading market participants those have a lot of money and are not afraid lose them (I am not saying that they WILL lose but are not AFRAID). Fearless.
They are able stop any movement - and given momentum - EXACTLY WHERE it can be expected. Enough is enough - and it never breaks even a little more as "prescribed".
