(i) Shorting Uptrends and (ii) Buying Downtrends with (iii) a tight stop on an (iv) intra-day basis during the (v) second half of the session ... is just plain retarded.

Well stated, fascinating how this is witnessed on a daily basis across trading circles.

Can't disagree. The long and short strategy has been difficult to execute this week..

got the first 2 points of the move and then had a cross-over in the price 2ed derivative with it's moving adverage that indicated a loss of momentum and a reversal.

So I shorted at 86 when FV was ~ 88.

Next I look the FV went up to 1093 and ES had a 2ed wind.

$djt spx, transports ,eur/usd all hitting longer term res at the same time, confirmation of a top thru technical analysis, ignoring the expiration and us dollar factors (i thru that in for all the genius's that will come out after the fact if we dont stall here) the djt is short of line by 3 points, spx has 1093-98 range
