These overnight 10pt gaps are purecrap (puretick? ... LOL) to deal with, especially when you know they're just gaming the system.

Bot:
The rise yesterday right after the close and the intel earnings announcement was from little trades (less than 100 shares) done at the ask. The whole DOM was less than 2000 shares on either side at the time.

As someone who had my position stopped out repeatedly by having something dump 4000-10,000 shares going the other way at market yesterday, I will agree the big boys were in the market yesterday with a vengence, but unless their trading footprint suddenly changed, they did not game the rise.
It was just people buying in on the news.

Just got here.

Feeling a bit battered from having my position slammed up against my stop loss 4 times yesterday.

Quote from Lawrence Chan:

6 pt range. Low volume. Low program trading activities all across.

I guess the fact is in,

Goldman earning is as big as fed meeting announcement.

:D

Incompetence paired with stupidity is the most dangerous mixture in this market. Obviously there are enough rookie programmers out there feeding the large desks.
