Quote from retaildaytrader:

So if someone brings up some type of historical data suggesting that 26% of the time a certain day is positive then you would disregard it as rubish?

I guess if someone told you that March and October tend to be pivotal points in the market thats "useless" as well.

I would not ever let you touch my money if you disregarded such statistics as "useless".

Read my post again. I quantified the term with details.

I am not interesting in touching your money. I guess it is ok then, right? =)

I have set a daily loss plan where I can either take 2 trades in a row without averaging in to take the stop or 1 trade where I average into the trade ONCE, and take the stop.

Ok, so from this message, obviously, I averaged into the trade. I went long at 1035.25, then I went long again 1034.50 instead of taking a stop around there, and gave myself a full 2 points for the stop below 2nd entry.

I then got out at a profit at 1036.25 real money. In demo I am leaving a runner to see if we go back to around 1039.

Feel free to make comments. Just glad I made some money today.

By the way, I made 2 mistakes yesterday.

1) A trader that helps me on my system sent me information based on the Dec contract, and I thought it was for the Sept contract so I did not trade correctly on 1st trade in morning yesterday.

2) On that same trade, I did not set a firm stop and averaged down too many times before taking my stop which is why I plan to not average more than once in future.

3) To make money, one must have a plan, follow the plan, and not break your own rules whatever they may be.

were you filled?

of course.
not a keeper tho, as my swing trades are timed differently. Still holding the remaining swing long (very nicely in profit now :))

This trade was just a trade that was guaranteed to give at least a few risk free points. taking +2.25 here on that one

Quote from Lawrence Chan:

Many in the industry are attending the memorial services.
That's what I figured but didn't realize how much of an impact it really had when 'they' are not in the market.
