Quote from Buy1Sell2:

Don't forget the 4 trades that preceded those 3:
63.5 pts gain on 20 contracts
22 pts gain on 20 contracts
21.5 pts gain on 20 contracts
178 pts gain on 30 contracts

:)

Can you post how much you gave back in profit on each trade by not scaling out ?

:)

Vol, what do you think about QQQQ from option perspective? thanks.

Watch spy interest. The 100 calls have already dropped 60k in open interest. Sure is lopsided for the put holders if they keep it under 100. Keep an eye on 98 spy open interest change in the morning. i won't be the least surprised if they fill the gap from friday between now and Friday. 968 -1004 range for rest of the week.

I'm now convinced the move was purposely *delayed* so that daytraders don't get a piece of it.

looking for short under 979 today.

The frustrating fact is that if they did a blow-off top yesterday at 990 sell zone before 2 pm, as I mentioned how the day should develop for the gap below to fill, then we would have that opening gap below taken out by close yesterday.

Instead, we have waves of bot buying to squeeze the mkt up little by little.

It is very difference from normal buying price actions. Someone willingly to lose $ to keep the price level there.

Quote from Lawrence Chan:

We are now at the juncture where bigger picture down trend is trying to resume.

Thus the memory effect of the bulls, the rabbits (late bulls) jumping on board plus media will keep defending this mkt - buy on every dips and average down as much as they can.

I am not saying that bulls are losing, just that the strong uptrend is now taking a pause.

There is ample time to ride on the down trend after it breaks its current weekly up trend. For now, think of it as a weekly level pullback should put this into a better context for trading.

You bet the next upgrade is in the works....They have upgraded financials, now its about time for technology...Don't forget, in 4 month time it's XMas....The usual pundits shall be upgraded...

Quote from Pekelo:

Although that is true, with his last 3 trades:

1. Gave back 50, made 0.
2. Gave back 50, made 5.
3. Gave back 35, made 56.

Don't forget the 5 trades that preceded those 3:
--63.5 pts gain on 20 contracts-- Total 1270 pts or $63,500 profit with 20 roundturn commissions.
--22 pts gain on 20 contracts--Total 440 pts or $22,000 profit with 20 roundturn commissions.
--21.5 pts gain on 20 contracts--Total 430 pts or $21,500 profit with 20 roundturn commissions.
--12.75 pts on 5 contracts--Total 63.75 pts or $3,187.50 profit with 5 roundturn commissions.
--178 pts gain on 30 contracts--Total 5340 pts or $267,000 profit with 30 roundturn commissions.

How great to have 988 short from yesterday, a nobrainer. Didn't do it.

Anyway on to the new day.

I bet they are ready to pressure pop 980 up to 88 hard here.

How much did I give back by not exiting the whole position where the scale out would have been?:)

This is a discussion for a different thread--not this one--:)

Yeah, interesting that Morgan Stanley has lately been obsessively active in after hours trading...

how can you tell this?

are you able to see who your counterparty is in your trades? how can i set myself up for that?

thanks.
