thanks Lawrence, this is good information.

so classic patterns might not be working too well if ES is controlled by bots. So is it the case that over 50% of the ES volume come from bots?

which is leading which between ES and cash index?

Do they (bots) look more into levels instead of patterns? Do they also take into account timeline of the day?

thanks again.

Quote from Lawrence Chan:

The bots and human traders are all bounded by rules.

Classic patterns are created by humans thus different from the ones dominated by bots.

Bots are more predictable and bear no emotions.

Classic patterns are driven by uncertainties as all players do not know what the other players may or will do.

Some bots, however, can now peek into the books, seeing what all other players "planned" to do.

It is like playing poker with your opponents showing their hands to you all the time. How hard is it to win the game then?

Leave the electronic trading space and back to the pits ! That's the only viable conclusion.

Normal bots just create another set of recognizable patterns.

They are not the one to be afraid of.

It's those bots that "raid the books" you should be careful about, because tight stops are gunned.

It used to be the case that it was a guessing game to figure out where the stops are. Now, with special "rights", these bots no longer guess where the stops are, they know.

Quote from ASusilovic:I see 4 huge, large gaps in big S&P's. It's about time that one of them closes.
I vote for the one on the bottom to close.

Today if possible :D

Got it. Guess we could use this to our advantage :)
