I posted a bit more these few days as I am not working at my office for the moment thus got some extra time to kill.
Newbies should understand that trading style cannot be imitated.
i.e. You cannot trade like B1S2 unless you are B1S2.
Another thing with this ES trading business is that there is no need to pick top or bottom. If you do, then you need a bigger pocket, ability to ride overnight, etc.
I remember Tim Morge once said something like this, "You need to find one way, and only one way to trade profitably. Then do it over again and again."
So if you find a way to pocket 2 pts a day, just stick to that and do it.
Like vol said something like this here, "Don't change your target size, just keep increasing the size (lots)" =)

One thing to notice is that ES is decoupling from NQ.
That means intraday swing top and bottom price levels are less accurate.
