Quote from Lawrence Chan:

Right on time, provided that tomorrow the price level holds, 966 (300 pts from low) here we come =)

Or maybe 999, a 50% run up from 666 =D

LC,

just to remember you !

You guys keep shorting. We should be at ES 1050 by weeks end, as long as you keep shorting.

Soon as you stop shorting the rally will stall, because longs are only buying the dips.

These quick spikes up are you guessed it shorts getting stopped out.

Quote from ammo:

what happens next pek, is there another move left in the dragon , or was that it

Again, the size of the drop is not predicted. It could be 10+ or just the 3 pts what we got...

Now the billion dollar question,

Is 50% run up (here) from the low a stronger resistance or 50% pullback for the leg of melt down (2008 - now) a stronger attractor?

:)

That depends on the question I just posted.

Real longs are getting out as we speak ... as the total flow has been moving from institutions and well capitalize individuals into the hands of retail.

The run up now is purely spiked by HFT, nothing more.

Daytrading-wise, I do go with the flow =)

Comparing HFT bots to poker -

1. It is NOT texas hol'em - if you want to continue, you must put up the dough

2. No matter what you do, they go 100x your bet size

3. They have virtually unlimited capital

4. Once you get emotional and not properly manage your stake, you get cleaned

How to beat HFT? My bet is to unplug them =)
