Want some advice ?

Bank your profits now and drawdown the account back to the original starting point. This will do 2 things.

Keep you from giving back what you made.

Make you trade more defensively instead of getting overconfident with the profit.

Nice job...you beat me to the punch.

Those extra profits sitting on top of your base can give a psychological sense that you can take extra risk and somehow you have "house money" to play with.

Great advice volente

Put some back but not all. The account should be allowed to grow. Getting it back to even does not help in the long run.

---Option prices are a result of ES prices. ----ES prices are not a result of option prices---. When the ES price closes close to where someone using options for prediction thinks it will, it constitutes a false confirmation of their belief. --Das ist ja ein zufall-- Good trading to all-- Ishmael:)

And when someone books a trade and does not scale out that also constitutes a false confirmation of their belief. le orecchie chiuse vanno perfetto con una mente chiusa

HELLO

That is exactly what he did, and exiting all at once cost him profit as it will the majority of the time.

So much for your theory.
He said he did not hold long enough. Had he held the whole position longer, he would have made more money. This is discussion for a different thread, but believe me, I know what I am speaking of here. --Ishmael:)

Ok - think whatever you want because it's obvious no one can tell you any fact that would actually make you see that your statement is incorrect...

I am speaking about things that I have learned from years of study and experience.

AGAIN, I did not hold long enough.
I considered selling only 1 and holding the other through the night or even setting a buy limit at 910 for the second, but I was ready for bed and not ready to give up the profit I stayed up late to get.

He had 3 options here

Close the trade for a small profit and take zero risk

Leave the trade open and risk having all his profit go to zero or back to a loss.

Close half the trade for a small profit and assume only half the risk from there on.

This example has proven that scaling out is superior to all in all out unless you are notrodamus and know the exact tops and bottom in advance. Are you his brother buy1 ? :)
