Quote from Anna K.:

Are you sure? we can't even take out opening high... and we are up only 50 points... and we were negative at some point... don't all these things invalidate ADU?

A run to 916 is probable.

Key time for ADU is now 1 to 1:30 ET

ADU time line is intact -

10:30 bottom (a bit late)
11 a top
11:30 - 12 a bottom
after 12 a high is made higher than the 11 one

To me ADU failure means 50% of day get taken out in this 1 - 1:30 move.

Edit: Was intended as explanation for AnnaK

To be sure, not exactly the best looking ADU, but yes, ADU is more of a timeline then a straight line from open to close (as the name indicates).

We had:

-10 am top (which was also doubletop with RSI div.)

- long signal at 10:25-30 when W %R hit -100 (also almost gapclose) This was earlier than the usual 11 am-ish, but the rule is whichever comes first)

-midday top between 12-12:30

So yes, so far we have been following the ADU timeline...

Edit: Also we just had the midday bottom between 1-2 pm

Now we still have to see if it fails or not for the rest of the day...

thank you for the explanation, 50% was taken out briefly, so is it still an ADU?

1:30 1/2 hr bar closed below.

I would not use counter trend buying (i.e. bottom picking) to engage this possible long due to the violation of the 50% RTH level.
