Very clever my friend - a great strategy! I agree it's harder than most assume, but very powerful and you can trade 2 dimensions (volatility long / short and directional/ delta neutral). You must have made a killing last year with this. Thanks and good luck Ilo!

Its the 2 faced jokers that I enjoy so much about this game, and the multiple prongs of attack possible (dimensions as you pointed out). Those jokers are constantly bluffing us every minute of the day so why not play a double agent with these clowns? :D Let me set the record straight though, the strategy was unsuccessful initially from 2002-2005 due to lack of the necessary knowledge as I was putting all the pieces of this complex puzzle together. It then became incredibly successful from 2005 to mid 2008 as I became deeply knowledgeable and intimate with it.

There are many variables that you must be aware at all times and proficient with to make it pay handsomely, that's why it's not as easy as it seems. Unfortunately, due to human errors on my part , I payed a price for it and it cost me a nice chunk in the latter part of 2008 simply because I failed to follow "what you preach". Final mistake in my trading career (I hope). Thankfully, I'm back in control this year and the results are pointing to a banner year. :)

I doubt we will breach the trend line at 34ish today(30min chart). Not enough momentum on either end. Probably quiet till end of day then taken out tomorrow.
