Watch them scurry like rats jumping over each other to cover before the close.
Not so fast, trannie. We need to clear above 765 first, which won't be that easy.

LC, can you please explain? thanks.

Given op ex, currency moves, etc. and they still cannot move it back up to 780 or higher to close, you know some serious liquidation is going on.

I've spoken with the r10 gang and they said they are going to stand aside this time.

I usually agree with you but I am not buying this for today. The volume just isn't there on the NYSE and Nasdaq - stocks not futures. Granted there has been some serious liquidation for the past two weeks but as far as a one day move I don't see it. I think we break 740 and the volume should spark exponentially. As for now it is pretty tame - especially given there was a huge amount done at the open because of expiration unwinding.

Just my two cents.

L 59.5
no adds
tight stop
showing signs of strength or coverings, but who cares...

Edit: STI is just one I'm using today for "signs" but being financial it's seriously screwed with... :p

Smart move. :)

I'm still mindful of possible "nasty surprise". Cosnidering that the Dow had no problem breading below its November low, it wouldn't surprise me if ES also close below 740.

Do I hear a siren call? Scary.
