Allow me to play the devil's advocate. According to my sources, 765 is the next obvious support. But it's a tenuous one at best. You might as well wait until we hit 740. Otherwise, I wouldn't place my hope on any of these numbers.

You might well be right and the bounce - if it ever happens - could be just another bull trap. That being said it is my job to follow the signals and make sure I exit at the best price if there is no follow through. Once in a while it catches a nice move and it pays for the loosers and the BE. And more.

ES 240 MN shows strong support in the 772-766 area.

Objective is to go long this zone for a bounce back up above 800.

Stop below 60...

And for the NQ lovers.... 1160 area to watch.

During the one hour break between the Asian and the European markets, trannies would usually resort to window dressing by artificially pushing the ES up but I don't see that this evening. They must sense that something smells fishy tonight.

Just broke below 770, albeit temporarily. Ah, the prudent a-holes can't contain themselves tonite. Where's da trannie-power?

Come what may, brace yourself. It might be a bumpy ride!

That being said, if we open below 765 tomorrow (well, in about 6 hours), we could see 740 in no time. Whether there would be a meaningful rally afterwards remains to be seen. But as I said yesterday, there could be a nasty surprise in store.

Don't expect too much from the OE this time around. My hunch is that there may be a nasty surprise in store just for the bulls.

No, I don't mean an "obvious" surprise but a nasty or unexpected surprise, viz. Uhm (scratching my head), could we possibly break down and close below the November low?
