Online casinos are banned in US because they could not collect tax on that. It is a competition to the gambling facilities built by the states.

And since we are looking at a new administrator here, my guess is that online casinos will be made legal - US citizens can gamble and invest, with US companies only :)
 
Scary version -

Since internet was introduced to the world, it changed everything. Big companies are forced to compete in ways they do not understand. Governments are forced to figure out ways to deal with internet related matters. For sure brokerages are forced to charge pennies instead of 2% brokerage fees!

So, if situation gets worst, I think some governments may shut down internet access to their countries. :(
 
regardless of regulation,if or when this mrkt tanks to 400-600 spu area ,a 2% move will be 8-12 points ,so the good times of 30-40 point days will be gone and you will see the es sitting in 1-3 point ranges and will be scalping for .50 to 1.25 gains
 
If that is the case exchanges will develop new products, old, big sp $500x. .10 ticks.

That's fine with me I'll just trade 10-20 contracts instead of 2 or 3

Yesterday was first test of the 870-880 area.

Maybe we are going to get a second try today or tomorrow.

There were 3 tries at breaking 840, the # of open shorts from there must be rinsed before any significant drop can materialize.
