if this is a volatility fan, price should drop and undercut the low at 32.75 in a methodical search for stops
All the better for me. I'll probably dump my position near 33 to see how it pans out. But, out of curiosity, just how much damage can stop-running create at this time of the day, let alone the assumption that there should be a large number of stops?

Perhaps you might find this useful as well. For me, it's merely a matter of crossing below the dotted trendline, which sits pretty at 833. Hmm, is that why we couldn't go any lower in the AH or is that just a coincidence? I think not.

The same dotted trendline should also be ploted on NQ chart. I expected INTC to bring NQ down first and then watch ES to follow, but AH NQ bounced right at that support line. One of the reasons ES did not move down much AH.

I'm of the opinion that NQ follows ES, not the other way around. :)

saliva,
I have seen overnight volatility fans only a couple of times. Is this a volatility fan? I don't know, I mentioned it only because of the tight range.

which now is starting to look like a base for move higher.

as I wrote in my first comment, I can't make hide nor hair of this pattern. I usually don't post trades but I can tell you; I have no position and am just watching right now. curious to see what happens.

Thanks for the clarification. True, I have never seen a price action more mundane than today's AH. But then again, AH is pretty damn boring for the most part, don't ya think?

Anyway, I have a hard stop at 40.50. I'm hitting the sack so if I get stopped out, so be it. Otherwise, profit target is set at 30.50.

G'night y'all.
