Volatility is rising. That forecasts market turn. Size of pullback I do not know (I do not expect return of bear market) but as minimum target I think will be touch of the bottom BB currently above 20).
I do not know when it will start, we can go up over 90 but I do not expect that we can break 1200. Although volatility clearly points down i stil believe there will be some stop run against shorts.

ride winners, keep losses small; the whole of trading. That said each trader will have to quantify what those principles mean. Most trend following systems have less than a 50% winning %, but they catch the big moves and the big moves is where the money is. Read Larry Hite's interview in market wizards, risk management for the ages.

Memorize this and live by it. Just increase the contracts based on margin.
I learned this from a great trader in South Florida years ago. He also said it is you against you, he was so right.

I would just add that every great trader I have read about, spoke to etc was able to cut losers quickly. For example there is a great option trader on this board who I have learned alot from, in watching his trades over the years I was amazed at how quickly he would cut losers, no ego, just out and on to the next trade.

no ego, give us this day our daily bread, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us,judge not lest you be judged...keeps your mind /heart clear living in the present not the past in the baggage area
