Quote from BA_Trader:

5 minute volume having a hard time staying out of the dead zone. Highly unusual for the last hour of trading.

Daily volume is coming in as lowest since mid April.

only 1.2 mil with less than 30 minutes to go

Good ole summer doldrums

Quote from Pekelo:

I bet we rally. We close in the green....

Edit: I actually expect a doji, but the point is the contrarian nature of the masses' opinion.

Wrong on the doji, right on the stupidity of the masses. :)

The daily W %R is around -7, the Dow's hit zero...good enough for finally expecting the drop.

So we came up and tested the TL from the underside. My belief is we go down from here. However, if that fails, then we're heading up to the next TL, which should line up pretty close to 1100.

BTW this chart is for our resident shorty, ammo. Ya should be mighty happy with this chart. :D

The last 15 minutes probably had more volume than the entire lunch time chop (11:30 - 2:30). Don't you find that inspiring?

Looks good. JPY should strenghtening, too. Time to short GBP/JPY. I am anyway surprised about GBP strength. Where is this demand coming from ? Europeans looking for "safe havens" ? :D

1.4 historical support, I wouldn't say it is strong action as both horizontal & diagonal resistance levels have not been breached. You have to consider DX ImPo which bounced from near 90 resistance. I doubt very much that 90 will not be re-tested at least. Of course if stock markets do fall, then no chance of USD falling whilst stock markets are crashing.

MMs need a bit of time to clean out the inventory from this recent multi-day drop.

Once it is done, the mkt can resume dropping, say, next monday. =P

'nuff said.

Wait, wait, wait, not Monday! Some talking head last week said S&P 1100 was coming and we all wanted to know exactly WHEN it was coming, so I consulted my Quija board and went all in on a bet it would be Thursday at 2:50pm ET.
