it was not meant to be disrespectful, sorry. I'm just curious. If you think its going down to 1208, why not short there ? then cover, and buy 1208 ?
I'm not answering for emg, just commenting because I respect his style and entries. To this noob (me), one big key is if it gets there, then trade with rules in place. The if part of this system requires no risk because you just sit on your hands while waiting for then to execute. From the wins, I suspect his then part has been heavily back tested. Also, a single point with multiple contracts can make a living.

Roadmap to the FED rate annc:

- Come back to 50% of run up from 4/19 (which is conveniently ~1200)

- TDAYBOYZ run it to flat or green by EOD on Tuesday

- AM session on Wed is usual FED day coma

- FED day fireworks

Nothing wrong with a 1 point target. It's the lack of stop and averaging in if it moves against that worries me most. But if it works for him, then more power.

He averages at extremes and has a reasonable level at which he exits if it doesn't work out. That's a lot different from selling a bottom or buying a top and averaging in as the trend clearly reverses there.

Although I don't do it live, I tested average-down strategies at extremes in my sim account on both CL and ES for months and had very few losses.

I personally:

1. Never average if I try trend following strategy. If it does not work, I have always point (not hard stop) when I exit.

2. I start smaller contratrend strategy (usually just about 1/3 of position that is reasonable for my account). If it goes against me more than X points, I set my target to breakeven. If it goes against me even more, I average twice in, have complex rules when to do it.
However after my opinion emg is averaging in too early, it does not have sense after few points.

in this market..

if it looks like a short, smells like a short
>> GO LONG!

i only trade the indexes short.. YM was very strong yesterday relative to NQ and ES, for those not watching.. the futures high was ~11205, I had a good short at 2- 11185 that i already regret closing for a small profit when i got shaken out when it looked EUR was strengthening and NQ/ES was gonna catch up.. i was staring at 1216.5 as a short on ES yesterday which would have been beautiful.. but emg looking for 18.5 shook me out also.. '16 taken out!!" lol

DAMN I AM WEEK!!!

will post full blotter today, anyone else wanna join me in posting a full blotter? GL guys/gals
