Small long 70.25

SL 68.50

(It's been said that 99% of the ES noobs lose due to their 2 point stops. Mine's 1.75. Hence I belong to the privileged 1% :D)

maybe a silly question but when you guys trade do you normally leave the over night session on your charts + the day session, or just use the day session?

Or do you switch inbetween. Just asking as I get some minor differences in signals when I leave out the overnight session.
Here's what I do.

1) Use RTH charts from 8:00 to 4:15. This will bypass any problem associated with the economic jibberjabber that gets released at 8:30.

2) Use AH charts after 4:15.

My own personal opinion is that trendlines usually don't align during the day when you connect the dots using AH session, so I avoid it altogether. However, on a day with a monster gap like today, it's advisable that you use both charts.

Stop and think about this. Its a global market and almost all indexes are correlated. Watch the Dax vs. ES generally move lock step. Reports which come out premarket often a mover. Do you want to leave that out? Mark the globex high and low you will be fine.

That was my initial reasoning for using the after hours and day hours charts. Why would I want to cut out thousands of trades right?

And of course you would have sat on your hands all this time. Having unfortunately made your acquaintance, I can safely say "pooh-pooh that". :p
