Buy programs like the ones we see this morning buy across a huge basket of stocks pushing the indices higher.

Once it has started, it last from 5 mins to an hour. You would see a huge bias in terms of trades happening at the ask scooping out the offers across the board.

I saw that happening in the past many times, but I never thought that it was bots. But it makes sense. Thanks for the info

other than looking at the t&s for each stock, is there a way to tell that offers are being lifted? $TICK?
