Quote from tomahawk:

Not to speak for LC, but one reason I can think of is that's 50pts off the top of this rally (5% correction). However, I also see a couple of MA's above that are starting to get lonely, which could draw us up first ... or second. :)

A structured sell off (or rally) almost always showing some kinds of mini repeating patterns throughout its periods on each major swing.

Like the rally off 925 breakout, we then see all sorts of swing low parking towards 05, 15, 25, 35, etc.

For the sell off so far, we have rejects of 1040 (from 38), 1030, and now 1000.

So 990 is next likely target to take out for a breakdown, or w. spring from today's low.

And a run towards slightly below 1010 is also in the cards.

CNBC is trashing the market, all started 11am today. It did not move the market much this after noon. I wonder this is a good contrarian indicator:

Quote from MandelbrotSet:

LOL :D

1. I thought you had me on ignore, Mr. No Call, Irritating Market Commentary.

2. I'm using preset stops and targets in NinjaTrader ... duh.

3. On a thread where people don't make calls at all (yourself), don't use stops (satchel, ammo) don't know that we're trading the ES - even though the thread is called "ES Journal" (ChipBSmall), I'm not too concerned about the non-existent criticism.

Now see guys (and ladies), I tried to ignore the moron, I didn't even make a smirky comment when wmb basically just told him to STFU with his stupid commnentary, but he wants to keep up his nonsense ... sheesh! :p

Make a call little opt789 (aka Mr. Nobody), or just get off the thread. :)
mandy and opt, take this elsewhere , even multiple alias has enough respect for trade threads to keep the backbiting in other threads, if you read thru here too pick up comments that might help your trading, i have to read yours too, please

We settled it over PMs.

FTR, I have zero interst in any of these people (in their real lives) or their multiple-aliases (in their ET lives) ... they come to me.

I'm just here to take care of my business, first, middle and last.

I have not been able to post intra-day trades lately as I had hoped (work and new baby) but have been following the thread and just wanted to say there has been some nice content. The experienced crew are generous to post here and I appreciate it.

The SPX came within a hair of triggering a trend change signal today. There is obvious support in the 975-980 region but I am expecting a ~50 handle visit to the 945-950 breakoout region (Fib retracement of run up too). After that, I'm thinking a bullish reveral to the 50% retracement level of the crash. Of course, this is all just pontification for s & g's - trade what you see. Cheers :)
