Quote from Lawrence Chan:

Am confused here ... closed which gap?

I was refering to 850ish. That is the cash gap, so when we were at 858, that drop below 850 closed that gap. Of course the market wasn't open yet.

According to the 2nd gap rule today we have a 90% chance to go back and close it during the day...

For overnight here is how it works: When we have the 2nd open gap in progress, going against it is a pretty safe bet, just like it was shorting during last night....

Quote from Lawrence Chan:

Yesterday we got a runaway gap up that was not filled.

Repeat of that or fill it all the way down today?

2 and a row have happened before, but it was in a bull market.

Probably stop run to 77 area before we fall. Still a lot of air underneath though.

Quote from smilingsynic:

On days like these:

(1) gap up; AND
(2) opening range (30 minute) breakout,

the easiest money historically is made finding low-risk longs.

Good luck to all, nonetheless

smiling synic, would the same apply today?
