OOoooh, they're running it up in after-hours... I wonder if they can pump it to 912-913....

I'd like to wake up to a nice up-gap that will crumble before long.

Edit: Doh, seems I missed that very shortable 910 about half an hour ago. That will teach me to take a shower and eat while browsing the web while the ES trades.

Even though I made nothing today (-66$, spent the afternoon catching up a 10pt loss because I was foolish enough to trade in the 8-9:30am time range), these are definitely exciting times. There are days I wish I was a robot, so I could trade around the clock...

I think one day you will realize that the best time to trade this beast is during the evening and early morning globex hours. Its a whole lot Les schizophrenic and much easier to manage your risk.

I know! :( I usually don't trade before 11am as my job keeps me busy, and even then I only take a few snipes on the YM because it's a tad safer imo. I usually start to take real positions after 2:15.

But today, for some odd-ass reason I was long on the ES @ 904.75 around 8am. And for some odd-ass reason I didn't have my stop set....

trading ends up being a personal thing. Meaning you have to find whats comfortable for you. My best advice to you would be to find the best time frame that suits you and resist the temptation to trade all hours or to many hours. Build up your discipline by staying with that specific time frame. Don'T be sucked into the glamour of trading volatility. For me taking 1 or 2 handles at a time with ease is a lot more interesting when the risks are low. You just have to get used to that approach and build up from there with 5 or 10 cars. easy money.:)

No that's it. Sorry.
I think we can agree on one thing and that its to much of a challenge for most people to have the discipline to trade a specific time frame especially when you have all that money dangling in front of them at all hours. That being said they will forget after a couple of hours.:D
