Quote from Lawrence Chan:

If it is a rally in the 1st 1/2 hour, and no intervention, then we should see a trend sell day.

If the mkt is allowed to drop to 820 in 1st hour, then yes, I do believe in a bounce.

I'd like to see restest of previous ES lows - can 820/835 hold?

if so, then bounce

Quote from Lawrence Chan:

European is waiting for the US open to confirm further drop or a bounce.

Many European indices will be lock limit down if they drop more.

So, the scenario is that either we see immediate action by the governments at the open (1st 1/2 hour), or, lock limit down on several exchanges before noon ET.

For those never traded limit down days ... consider staying on the sideline for the safety of your account balance. :)

Good luck to all!

There are no limits on stock futures in europe or uk.

I can make trading decision based on my experience.
I never saw situation when there was 11K on ask and 1 on bid. Although price moves usually to the size in such situation it should be fall. So I can not analyse something that I never saw - and I believe much more experienced traders as well.

Like I expected there was defence to prevent freefall. I covered few points bellow lock, nothing special in PA, just enormous volatility.

Quote from JSSPMK:

don't gamble, it can shoot up your ass quicker than u can count to 3, these are not the times to think, analyse what u see & join in, do not base trading decisions on believing it may go your way.

Good morning,

ok, due to the lock limit move in the futures this morning the intraday charts are difficult to read. However, the 60 min chart is still in an established down trend channell but is attempting a retrace to bid up the 15min chart into overbought territory. this should set up the next leg down to take either test or take out the overnight lows. ES key support is around 830's. if we take that out the word on the street is that the Dow will crash 2,000 points today! Expect the markets to be closed as a result. expect gov't intervention and breaking news annoucements between today and Monday. expect coordinated efforts in global world markets to close markets world wide.

Unfortunetly the markets will not be allowed to take their natural course due to gov't interference so the bottom will not be reached for some time.

I don't mean to sound so gloomy but i want everyone to be prepared. I hope that i'm wrong about this but something does not feel right about this. i've been trading these markets for a very long time and i have to tell you that i don't like what i'm seeing.

gotta run

i'll check back with you guys later today.

good luck to all.

Now go make that $$$
