its been a very volatile week. I hope that many finished in the black. I barely made it. took a nasty $2,700 hit this morning and managed to gain back $2k of it to finish the day down $700.00. Overall I had a positve week and am on track for a good start come Sunday night.

Anyone else see a continuation triangle on the SPX 60 min?

Depending on where it breaks eyeballs at up to 200 pts on a breakdown down.

I think we are now be in the upward drift/bear market rally phase, based on the significant double bottom since last Friday. Maybe we'll see a triple bottom, maybe a fully formed sym triangle with a fakeout-breakout down towards 800 or so, but we're already 40% off the highs after one year. News needs to catch up with the market. I say we hit 1100, go sideways and take another huge crap after New Years. I'm looking at the action from July 16th through the first week of September as a template.

yup. thats my game as well. we are still in a bearish pattern with the 60 min chart starting to turn down. We should test the overnight lows and bounce if this is going to be a true retracement rally. if we break the overnight lows then that just might be all she wrote for this rally.

Surely the predominant intraday trend has already revealed itself--

I continue looking only for short entries though in the diection of the longer term trend.
