I remind everyone that this thread is the ES Journal, so please take political discussions regarding Ron Paul (or any other candidate) to the Politics & Religion forum. Also, this is not the thread to have extended discussions regarding the PPT etc. LET'S GET BACK ON TOPIC FOLKS, and that's trading the ES. Thanks.
 
This market is unstable here tonight. I don't like it. I just coverd my ES & YM shorts for a small profit. Something does not feel right.

Take the money and run.

if you are referring to the gap created on 9/15 - 9/17 then it would appear that the gap has been filled. the question remains as to where the mkt will go from here? continuation downward or reversal signifying a short term bottom?

I mean the one from 9/18-9/19, that huge gap up we did by hitting the AH ES upper limit.

I see. Well we might bounce from here but who knows. The charts say we will see another parabolic down day. I hope that I can capture it ALL on the way down. It could get really ugly.
 
YM and ES are in the "big air" zone.

If this selloff accelerates overnight, YM 10745 and ES 1171 are magnets... Which would be near overnight limit down and well beyond merely filling Fridays unfilled gap.

On the upside YM 11720 and that silly 1288-1292 zone are of importance. Lot's of "stuff" to negotiate between here and there however.

Personally, I do not use overnight action in my analysis, however these are extraordinary times.

Yeah, I'm thinking about scaling in. I might put on an overnight short in both YM & ES. looking to capture most of the possible move. it seem that these parabolic moves happen while i'm sleeping.:)
 
Hey,

I just received a bulletin from IB trading platform that said that Australlia just extended its ban on short selling to include "covered short sales" until further notice and will review it in 30 days.

Does this mean that if you own stock you can't take proft?
Or am I reading this wrong and what they are saying is that if you own a falling stock that you can't sell "calls" against it?

Is this the begining of the end of free markets everywhere. Is the U.S. going to say that you can't sell any securities even if your losing money on them?

Wow! a gov't controlled Enron like experience.

Please don't prohibit shorting the YM & ES.
