I usually don't post but I think I should. And before I do, there are people I trade with during the day on ET, so there is accountablilty for these trades. I am up 40 es points on the day...2 points away from my record...looking to make this a 50 point day...famous last words, I know.

Good for you--congratulations, and bask all you want. These volatile days are meant to be enjoyed.

I said that "short sellers will be treated as criminals" in the past 2 days, it is now a reality - sad. :(

Yes, even though it's wrong, I'd rather see a ban than financial chaos and unrest. However, you don't need short sellers to drive these stocks to 0. All it takes is panic from the existing share holders to take us there.

congrats, look at the GS 100 strike for today's price action, the holy grail. In Market Wizards there is the story of the guy trying to find the Holy Grail; he finds the guru who tells him BLASH (huh?)Buy low and Sell high.

uk bans short selling in fin stocks
What a fucking bunch of whinos! From 2003 to 2007, these pathetic bulls practically pushed the Dow to 14,000 on thin air and now they want to ban the bears altogether?!

I just don't hell understand. Why didn't these idiotic firms hedge their bet? Surely they've heard of derivatives. Better yet, why didn't they go all out short on their own stocks for crying out loud?!!

ImPO it was the right thing to do considering what's happening right now, after all we do need banks.
