If am playing counter(averaging) it's always 0.5-1%. Momentum/breakouts/breakdowns trend riding then the stop is always the low or high opposite the breakout or breakdown.

With the breakouts and breakdowns, you have to have volume confirming it. You will get some breakouts/breakdowns that confirm with volume that fail, but not many. Playing stocks this way is fun and profitable.
