Back from November 2007...

"When the market gaps up, and then trades down to a point that there is a swing low above the gap, there generally is at least another strong move up for the day... Gap (or strong move) plus mid-day consolidation equals late afternoon continuation."

I see ES filling the 1319.25 gap and NQ the 1916.25 gap before end of next week. Today markets confirmed the yesterday bounce.

The daily and weekly are still bearish to me. I think we haven't seen yet the panic sell off that usually preceeds a long term up trend.

He's already on ignore, and just one more reason why I have no regrets for not using my real name here. Creepy.

Looking for failure between 93-95 (Wyckoff upthrust would be sweet), a move to fill this morning's gap to 60-63, and then 1320's by Labor Day.

As primarily an intraday trader, however, I focus on those layers of resistance and support that appear everyday, and watch like a hawk the price action around those points.

In terms of swing trading, right now we are short-term oversold (two strong days that close near the top of the day's range suggests some profit-taking tomorrow).

Only found this thread yesterday and it looks good !
So thanks to its originator Buy1Sell2. Maybe I can contribute a little here and there.
Such a lot of pages already ! Maybe someone should start an index - like there is a good bit about stops on pages ????

Quote from Pekelo:

2nd gap rule applies, shorting 1267 and covering it around 1262 should be a nobrainer, although it might not happen right away...

Down 17 ES points on the short AND

"Long 1306.5 manual stop loss, willing to hold longer. Yesterday's exit was pretty much on the top, perfect SMA bounce on the daily..."
