Nicely put....

Quote from JSSPMK:

Understanding of manipulation varies, at certain times we see manipulative actions via spoofing especially at times when volume is thin, on the other hand if we had manipulation present at most times, then wouldn't we have more random behaviour of p/a? I just want to be on the right side (like most hehe) & the right time, stronger party wins, basically law of the jungle still runs the world :)

Its not unforntunate, I worked in the FX industry for a large institution for 20 years. That Market is the most manipulated market. The order books were very well known. The larger the stop, the bigger the target. If a knock in or knock out option needed to be taken out to benefit the bank, it was taken out. Market would move 4 or 5 points beyond the targets. Same thing happens in equities. I have seen it. Manipulation is driving the market to targets. May be temporary but it is done.

Very sorry that this occupies you. It just doesn't exist.

It is unfortunate that you hold this belief. However, good fortune to you! :)
how hard is it to brake, accelerate, and turn the steering wheel, thats manipulation at a simple level that you do every day, what makes you deny that basic human behavior is non existant in the markets

It does not occupy me. Let me throw this at you. You are successful at your longterm trades. Manipulating a market over a longer term is next to impossible ( ask the hunt brothers).

You are far less successful at shortterm trading, why because the market is manipulated all over the place shortterm.
Why because they can and its profitable to take out stops and other targets.

I am very successful when I trade short term. I use the same principles that I use for longer term trading and they translate extremely well. :)

I have and the over the counter currency options market was just plain ugly. Large payout options needed to expire worthless, everything was done to make it happen.

B1S2,
have you ever been employed by a large institution (related to the markets?
