Anybody else see those 1300 lots offered at the 78.6 (2000) retrace on NQ? Jumped in front of it even though they usually run size just cuz its small stop... Short 1999.50 stop 2000.25... will hold til stopped or sizable move down

:edit: Size dissapeared from DOM! Covered 1998.75 for better or worse... size disappeared from DOM so it seems like one of those fake-sizes where they accumulate shorts just under then jam it higher.

meh, apparently not... ohwell, gotta play what I observe.

The 1300 has been coming quite often the last month. I would completely ignore it and if anything think about trading towards it.

I agree that more often than not you see big size (fake) show up on the offer usually right at a swing high to get dumb money short. Then the offer is pulled and you get a mini short covering rally that provides momentum to drive price higher.

However this one occurred at a key retracement level where I was looking to go short anyway. Price moved down from there, then back up to where 2000.00 was visible on the DOM again and I saw the offer was no longer there so I covered for a few ticks. Turns out it was the swing high before pulling back to where we are now. So theres not much conclusion I can draw from that except the market was weak enough that all it required was that bluff to send it down.
