Chan posted that the release Friday was early bercause many expected it. That is all wet. That sentiment number (notice the report is not called a confidence report, thats for the gov report), as stated before is ALWAYS released early because it is from University of Michigan and released to those that lay out some cash. Wait for the next one and you will see the same deal.
Thats the fallacy of being a trader and a talking head all wrapped up in one. Like they say about giving a forecast: Give them a number or give them a timetable but never give them both at the same time.
The consumer confidence number comes out on the 24th at 1000 EST, last months number was 57.2

I don't know what you are seeing, but I see potential strength on 2m chart's histo, of course these patterns don't always work, but 1 thing I try to avoid is to enter in the opposite direction of those 1-3m charts' immediate indications, good luck!
Today's a little more difficult to call than Friday. I would say that shorts are favored but I have missed the opportunity so far as I have just looked at the screen for the first time today. I will wait for a retracement or skip the trade in it's entirety. It's always best in my view to have a bias one way or the other so that you are forcing yourself to identify the correct trend. If the trade doesn't arrive, you simply have missed a trade.
