Hi

I am always interested in why people with experience do what they do.

For example as an intraday Trader why would you assume the unidentified overnight risk, when one would assume that the road to riches lies in ramping up intraday trade size.

If you feel this question is out of order, please ignore it.

f9,

I do trade both intraday and overnight. I thought there was at least a 50% chance we could hit 1350 this week. I considered risking 10pts of profits for 25 more was worth it. I did almost pull another contract off but decided not too. I thought if my stop was hit, we would be more likely to retest 1400-1410.

I didn't see a good reentry point short but kudos to b1s2 as he got a new short in.

Unlike b1s2, I prefer to scale out of my positions. Although it is an inferior strategy (mathmatically), my personal results are better when scaling out. This helps since I was able to grab 15pts on my intial trade and then 3pts on my remaining position.

Anyone have an opinion on quotetracker?

tia

I trade heavily using fibs and wave projections, and I found the fib tool very cumbersome and basic. Its very limiting. Additionally, this might have just had to do with my data feed, but I would only have chart data from when quotetracker was open and getting streaming quotes and intraday data was limited to 10 days. The fact that every tick for every stock/contract I was tracking was stored on my computer made it extremely slow. This could have just been because I didn't have a historical backfill feed.

FWIW I made the switch to NinjaTrader and I couldn't be happier.
