Most new/inexperienced traders make the mistake of putting larger size on for a daytrade. This is exactly backwards of what should be done.

Well there you go.
After twelve years of hard work and trial and error, not to mention trial by fire, I am right back where I started.

Porgie, daytrade size should never exceed the position trade size ever. One must always calculate the worst case scenario and determine if it can be handled by the account. :)

lolz :D ... he's a nuisance poster who used to haunt the ES Journal back-in-the-day.

You are as far from him as the Sahara Desert is from the Arctic Tundra in your knowledge, disposition and postings.

Nonsense.

Daytrading most certainly has less risk than position trading, because a position trade uses up more time than a daytrade. In that sense, more can go wrong in a position trade than in a daytrade. Simply put, time equals exposure equals risk.

A competent daytrader ON A RISK/REWARD BASIS should do better than a competent position trader anytime.

Of course, there are few who are in either category.

How many daytraders out there in ET land have suffered 30 points loss a contract over three days?

Anyone?

I've done my share of dumb things in this business, but not that (knock on wood). :)

NQ hit resistance in the high 80's as expected and we're now in wave B. Looking for support in the mid 1960's to ride up wave C before the nice short zone at ~2000.
